Well, I'm not even sure if anyone checks our blog anymore seems how I haven't updated the thing in 2 months!!!! I really used to be good at updating at one point in my life but now I just don't find the time and if I have the time I don't feel like taking the time. This time I won't say how I'm going to try to do better with posting b/c there's no telling when will be the next time I will post seeing the trend that I've been setting of late! :)
Lots has been going on in the Ice home since I last posted...and of major news (which may actually be minor by other those reading b/c they already know!) we are being blessed with baby #3 on the way!! I'm due Nov. 2 but I'll probably have the baby sometime in October if everything goes well. On the well statement...we are praying that things might be different this time and that I will not have to go on bedrest but we just don't know what will take place. The dr.'s are watching me closer this time around from the start to try to stop any labor before it starts. At 16 weeks I will begin weekly hip injections of progestrone (I'm 13.5 weeks right now). When I'm 18 weeks we'll go back to the high-risk dr. and I will have the full ultra-sound of the baby and they will check to see if there has been any change yet in my cervix. Our prayer is that there will be no change. This is also when we will find out the news of...It's a...BOY!!!...or a GIRL!
Isabelle talks constantly of her baby BROTHER and prays for her new baby brother so I think in her mind it's a BOY!!! Yay for Blue but we got a lot of pink still around if we need it!!! :) We covet your prayers for this new little bundle and for a healthy pregnancy.
On to other things...Isabelle just got her first bike with training wheels and helmet. ($5 at a garage sale last Sat.!!! yay) She caught on to it really quick and asks all the time if she can go ride her new bike. I'll have to take some pics and video of her riding so those interested can see her.
Ireland is at the stage now of repeating most things you ask her to try and say. I will give her names of people and she will say one person right after another. It's so cute!! She's doing a lot better in the eating area which is a huge blessing. It can get stressful trying to feed a child who doesn't like ANYTHING you give to her, even the yummy stuff. Thankfully it seems that she has figured out that food is a good thing and will eat most things now. Today we actually had a physical therapist come out to check Ireland over and see if she had low muscle tone (the dr. wanted us to get her checked so we did). Anyways what was really neat in the whole thing was when I answered the phone this morning it was the physical ther. She was calling to confirm the time she was coming and I thought her voice sounded really familiar. After hanging up with her and then taking a minute to put her name with her voice I figured out that it was the same therapist that Isabelle had when she was a preemie and had just come home from the NICU. When she got to the house and made the connection herself she was amazed to see how big Isabelle was and how great she is doing for having been a 26weeker. It's always so amazing when people see her now who haven't seen her since she was a preemie and to be reminded what a great work God did in her little body!!! All praise to Him for this robust 3 1/2 year old who now can drive me just a wee bit batty at times!!!! :) Gotta love her!!
Well, enough of the news here. Now I'll post a slide show of pics from the past little bit in case anyone is still checking the blog.
